AVID
Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID), is a global nonprofit organization dedicated to closing the achievement gap by preparing all students for college and other postsecondary opportunities.
AVID is an elective course designed to prepare all students for college readiness and success in a global society. AVID students engage in a rigorous curriculum focused around writing, reading, and critical thinking. Students learn principles of organization and collaboration.
